S. at 38th St. The van driver was eastbound on 38th and had turned left onto Nicollet when she hit Janet Jones about 2 p.m. Thursday, according to police. Jones died two hours later at Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis. Nobody was arrested.
