This is everything that local politics shouldn't be, but is, and is continually
condoned.
I remember a park board meeting, when it came time for public comment, who got
up and left but Walt D. just got right up and made it obvious that whatever was
said by the residents and taxpayers of this city was of NO INTEREST to Walt. I
can only imagine that Kari would follow in her father's footsteps, and Joe B's
as well. Listen to those you have to, ignore those you don't, and make sure not
to get caught. But, by all means keep the circle small and tight.
It's like there is a pattern developing here.......
Wait until it's human capital flight and not economic flight from the "once"
fair city of Minneapolis that was tarnished by the likes of some dfl'ers.

of two evils....choose neither.

David passed on to us....

But damn, we did see a passel of dinosaurs the other day. The
occasion was a kick-off fundraiser for Kari Dziedzic, and Minneapolis' past
greats and near-greats were out in force. DeMars, Risk, Campbell, Kaplan,
Rockenstein, Rainville, Miller, Minn, Derus, Hofstede and even the
patriarch, Walter D himself. Walter Duffy even reverted to form, showing up
to keep counsel. Beyond a willingness to have their checkbooks at the ready,
what still binds this cast of characters is a deep and abiding love for a
city that they served so well.
