For black-ice fans, there's great skating to be had at Lake of the
Isles, where shallow waters on the north arm freeze early.  The Park
Board has brushed off the slight amount of snow we've received and the
ice is mostly glassy.  Plus, the snow cover is thin enough that you can
skate all around the lake.  I ventured over to the Kenilworth lagoon and
back.  The ice was stable the whole way.  I don't think the warming
house will open for another week or so, and I don't know if the lights
are on at night.  But the moon doesn't set until 10:12 tonight....
