Part of article out of context: Gross declined to release a list of the representatives chosen at the meeting, but did acknowledge that meeting participants voted to keep the traditional Black leadership, such as the NAACP and the Urban League, from being considered. NAACP representatives did not attend the meeting, and representatives of the Urban League left the meeting in frustration after coming under attack by several other attendees.
