OK, so my life has been pretty hectic these past seven months so I haven't paid much attention to what is happening in my neighborhood.
Now I hear they want to tear my house down. There is something about a Greenway Overlay Plan?????? What is the plan? Can someone fill me in? Where I live in Seward is a funny little block and a half of housing in the midst of commercial/industrial. According to Seward's NRP plan, the neighborhood direction for this area was to rezone it to residential (which Joan Campbell told me would happen over her dead body). I know this because I chaired the NRP Steering Committee in Seward and it was a very important issue to those of us that live there. Now I'm saying the city of Minneapolis and the Greenway will get my house over my dead body.
