Fellow list members:
Here is an e-invitation to actually live peace into being through the way we choose to move through our neighborhoods and our urban environment.
Ecological/geopolitical peace and justice will not be brought to us by government/ corporate leadership.
We must live peace and justice into being.
Here is the invite:

We demand war as we drive our gasoline-powered cars. We are bound to consuming gasoline. We are given no choice. We are not free.
We perpetrate violence when we use gasoline powered cars.
We damage the air, soil, and water. We poison our bodies. We cause global warming.
We who consume petroleum support global economic violence and oppression as well.
Geopolitical, military, and paramilitary policies create monstrous regimes and provide security for global corporations who rape our planet as well as the peoples of the world. We support this political, economic and military oppression every time we buy gas for our cars.
We are bound to petroleum as drug addicts are bound to drugs. We are urged to live in denial, and to support increasing militarization of the world and of our own culture in order to support the very addiction we deny.
The Sustainable Transportation Project
is a grassroots citizen's movement which seeks to develop a variety of nonviolent transportation options in Minneapolis.
We the people will achieve freedom from oil dependence.
We the people will wean ourselves from the purveyors of oil and weapons.
We will invest in sustainable transportation options.
We will move through our neighborhoods in ways which are safe and healthy for individuals and which develop community.
We will move through our urban landscape in ways which actually improve the environment.
We will move through our city in ways which are peaceful.
We will no longer protest violence and war only with our mouths, but we will protest with our lives.
Liberty, justice, peace and sustainability are intertwined. The time has come to live for peace!
