This is more of a request for info than anything else. But I was heading to bed at 2:30am and happened to notice flashing lights outside. Assuming it was the police I went over to the window and was surprised to see what looked like a City pick-up truck with flashing yellow lights. One guy had on an orange vest and what looked to be a plastic bag and a long pike(?) or something for what looked to be picking up trash.
It was dark so I couldn't see clearly what they were doing, but the first guy noticed me, and kept looking at me, as another guy, got out the truck went over to the curb with a shovel, scooped something from the street up onto the curb and then hastily got in the truck and drove off. They drove down the main street and stopped, did something else, and then turn off and went away. five minutes later I saw the same lights a block away in the other direction as if they had come back up another street to mine.
Does anyone know what this is? I couldn't see a City logo on the truck and it seems a little late to be out picking up trash.
