As the process to decide who will represent
the community continues, Minneapolis Police
Chief Robert Olson was told Monday that the
first federally mediated session aimed at
improving police-community relations is tentatively
set for Jan. 21.

Federal mediator Patricia Campbell Glenn gave
Olson the date and told him that she would meet
Jan. 14 with representatives of the Police
Department to update them, said police spokeswoman
Cyndi Barrington.
