I also attended a
workshop on the Southwest Trail. I asked why Lyndale was recommended as
the route between Downtown and Uptown, rather then Hennepin. According to
their studies, Hennepin has a much higher traffic level. Also, I suspect
that the main concern about adding LRT to Lyndale is the removal of on-street
parking. I know many business that won't be near a station that currently
rely on the on-street on Lyndale.
