Minneapolis Senator Linda Berglin has just put in two bills dealing with community crime prevention groups. Senate File No. 42 would require the city of Minneapolis to notify community crime groups of the outcome of criminal proceedings. Senate File No. 43 would create a gross misdemeanor for assaulting a member of a community crime prevention group. Apparently there have been problems with these situations in the past. Here are the two bill links.
