The smallest class sizes in the Twin Cities metro area would grow under a
$28 million budget-cutting plan presented this afternoon by Minneapolis
Superintendent Carol Johnson. ...

Under the proposal, class sizes in kindergarten through second grade would
grow from 19 to 22 students per teacher.

Class sizes in grades 4 through 8 would increase from 25 to 28 students. At
the high school level, class sizes would grow from an average of 26 to an
average of 30 per teacher.
