Hello folks, As the war has not yet been cancelled, more peace events are scheduled for today and the coming days in Minneapolis.
TODAY Saturday January 25, 1-3pm The Anti-War committee and Code Pink invite you to a rally and parade for peace, on our own West Bank (cedar and riverside area), beginning at 301 Cedar Avenue at 1pm. This protest will march through the West Bank and Seward neighborhoods, ending with an indoor rally & speak out at Foss Auditorium, at Augsburg College. Code Pink will meet in front of Midwest Mountaineering at 12:45. Wear pink. WEDNESDAY, January 29, 4:30-5:30 pm Join the growing weekly vigil at the Lake St./Marshall Avenue bridge over the Mississippi. The message is "Stop the War on Iraq and Lift the Sanctions." This week folks from the BBC will be there to film the vigil, to be included in a documentary. So this is your chance to be an international media luminary while you protest the war and sanctions. Parking is available on the St. Paul side in the 'Church of the Living Word' parking lot. Vigil signs are provided or bring your own! Betty Tisel Kingfield TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Send all posts in plain-text format. 2. Cut as much of the post you're responding to as possible. ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
