It gives me hope to know that we do have people that represent us who are taking a stand against war and its costs both abroad and at home.
We keep hearing form Mayor Rybak and other city council members about not supporting this resolution due to "pressing issues at home"... yet we all know that the money wasted on this war buildup and a war is money taken away from our issues at home. They cannot be separated.
I applaud council persons Zerby and Zimmerman.
I also applaud Dean Zimmerman for his outspoken support and help to put forth a resolution to revoke the ordinances that criminalize people who are homeless....
Whatever happened to basic concern and kindness for others? So often we turn a blind eye... until we are the ones who are hurting.
