The real question is: Would we ask people living in
the wealthy neighborhoods around the Lakes who drive
Land Rovers if they need them? Would we even question
that they have them? Or are those questions only
pertinent to people who live in or visit poor
neighborhoods?

If the special election was in the 13th ward and
someone went to Barret Lane's house to pick up
literature in a Land Rover, would it even have been
noticed let alone posted about on Mpls. Issues? I
don't think so.

What's with the double standard? Are we saying that
because Don Samuels lives in a "poor" neighborhood
that he should surround himself and be supported by
only poor people? I hope not. It takes money to win an
election. Lots of it. I hope Don knows a lot of rich
people. I hope the guy who drove the Land Rover wrote
Don a big fat $300 check and I hope the guys wife,
grandma and auntie did too!
