Doug Grow's article brings out some critical points about the anti-war
resolution, which I will summarize more bluntly:

1. The argument that the City Council does not have time do deal with it is
NONSENSE. Paul Zerby's quotes succicintly illustrate how the anti-war
resolution takes very little time, and council members can easily deal with
it while spending most time on traditional issues.

2. RT's own quote's clearly illustrate his role as almost a caricature of a
two-faced politician. "I know the deal I made with voters. I crossed
ideological lines. I told people where I wanted to go on issues before the
city, issues like housing, the budget, the environment. No one asked me my
views on foreign policy." In other words, RT wants to continue to please
all the Republicans and conservates, as well as Greens and progressives,
rather than take a meaningful stand. (I suggest that he be publicly exposed
the next time he shows up to an anti-war demonstration). The council
members refusing to take a stand, undoubtedly have the same idea.
