As I understand it, this list is a place for critiques of our local politicians and thus I would assume it must also be a place for recognition of them at times as well. I also think it is important for list members to be updated by activists about who supports efforts on a variety of issues.

Thankyou to council persons Dean Zimmerman, Natalie Johnson-Lee, Paul Zerby, Robert Lilligren and Gary Schiff for their voting "yes"to the anti-war resolution. Each of you deserves to get a stong showing of acclimation for your stand.

A huge recogntion goes to Dean Zimmerman , Natalie Johnson-Lee and Commissioner Gail Dorfman. You three of all the county commissioners and city council members stopped by our campout re: homeless rights

None of you used this as a photo op, all of you made it clear about your deep level of respect and care in the manner in which you conducted yourselves while stopping by.
I remain hopeful and do know that there are others on the City Council (hopefully also among the county commissioners) who were with us in spirit, if not able to stop by.
The opportunity for those of you who could not stop by for this campout, should not feel left out as there will be another campout (same spot) within the next six weeks.
Too often we forget to recognize acts of courage and acts of kindness... perhaps that is an indication of how we, as a nation, have lost the art of kindness.
