For those interested in local action to promote peace in our neighborhoods and around the world, the Sustainable Transportation Project is sponsoring an informal gathering. You are invited!
When: Friday, February 7, 6 to 9 PM
Where: Lyndale UCC, West 31st Street (one block SW of Lake/Lyndale intersection)
We'll have an informal potluck -- bring snacks or simple things to share for a wintery evening. There will be plenty of time just to relax and talk with others who are interested in creating an infrastructure of peace in our city. We'll have the video "Bike Like You Mean It" for those interested in watching this terrific documentary about bike activism in Autin Texas -- including Eric Anderson, who got his start working on Minneapolis' own Midtown Greenway project.
There will be plenty of time to meet other activists for peace and for peaceful and sustainable infrastructure in our city, and to just curl up in a comfortable spot to talk in small groups and such.
We can live so that our very lives create peace here and around the world. The Sustainable Transportation Project is all about liberating us to do just that!
For more information, feel free to e-mail me off-list.
Thanks!
