There is no need to fear, Don had (long before the election) been working
all over in the Northside, not only in Jordan! Now it is so exciting that NE has
played a key role in deciding that Don is the representative needed in City
Hall! He will work for both sides of the River and the City as hard as he has
worked in the Northside.

I am merely a neighbor, volunteer, and friend of Don's. In November of 2001
I met Don on the corner of 26th and Knox along with the group of neighbors who
made tonight's victory possible. It started with a group neighbors picketing on
26th and Knox, then a Community garden on 26th and Knox, then the Jordan
Livability Forum, then the Northside Neighborhood Action Group, etc. - this is
an ongoing trend (throughout history) of groups of people from different
backgrounds coming together to for shared interests and common goals. It will
not stop tonight, it will continue...

We (the neighbors) begged Don to run, we poured our hearts and souls into
his campaign, and regardless of the outcome we still would have won. Why?
Because residents from Jordan, Hawthorne, and McKinley formed a strong
coalition with residents in the NE neighborhoods of Sheridan, Bottineau,
Columbia Park, St. Anthony west, Marshall Terrace, and Holland. This is a
network of strong neighborhoods I hope will continue to work together in the
years to come...

Smiling in the 3rd Ward for the 3rd Ward!
        Kelly Phillips
