List, one last thing on the Samuels party win. I have been very public about my support for Olin Moore, also my public views on the Samuels campaign. The below is the following I sent to Don after his win. After giving it a lot of thought, I felt it best to be public in my Congratulations to Don's victory.

Don-
Let me first start off by saying congrats to your new job, which I hope turns out to be a victory for the ward. Let me also say that I hope that you are as true with your actions as was with your words of encouragement and hope for the ward. I also want to say thank-you for opening the door for others of color to run for office in this ward.
It is with the greatest hope that in your your new found position that you use the office to be a positive role model for people of color, showing them it can be done. Even though I was not of supporter of yours, I still admire your courage, conviction and your strength that put you where you are in this moment.
You have a lot to be proud of, so enjoy and work hard.
Best of Luck to you...
Vanessa L. Freeman
