Hello Minneapolis Issues Folks and Joe B. I must have missed Joe B's comment my first read,

Claiming that POLICE should be independent entities, operating without "government interference" are obviously satirically inclined." KB: I had a former career as a standup comedian and made the comparison to the Soviet Union and centralized communications. I thought the choice of the word "centralized" was not great way to kick off the new communications program. I was just making the observation that many people probable compare the phrase,"centralized communication with centralized power" and thus the Soviet Union or dictators. Yes, this may be normal language in the business world but the historical and political worlds the context is viewed difrently. The idea of centralized power has always been feared in our country. Our nation was built on the fearing centralized power and giving individuals and state and local government a voice. I did find it funny that the new "communication campaign" picked such a poor use of words. It was funny and can't we just admit that? I may have not used the right words to explain myself which is really funny. I am very funny like the movies, History of The World Part II or The Matrix. Depends on how you look at it. The whole thing is very funny. I might take Joe up on the career in standup comedy. I could tell many funny stories about all kinds of things, maybe put my dress on, and dance a little, just for kicks.
