I think that the "advice" we are getting is not even compatible with a Minneapolis, or
even a Midwestern, climate. Heat exchanges and ventilation systems in houses in our
area need a free flow of air. Strangling them with plastic could be dangerous. Other
advice has included statements such as "go to a windowless room" (I don't have one)
and "turn off the furnace" (yeah, right!).

The advice of more level-headed medical experts seems to be: stock up on a three-day
supply of food and water (this I did at Sentyrz and Holy Land), keep a battery-powered
radio, a flashlight, and a first aid kit ready, and set up a system of communicating
to family members in the wake of an attack. Remembering the tornadoes from my
childhood, I think it's a good idea to always do this.

I am troubled, however, at the government's rush to air this latest Bin Laden tape
when the previous ones were censored because they allegedly were "codes to sleeper
cells."
