Some specific strategies the Tyesha Edwards Peace Project hopes to use to help kids stay out of trouble: � Establish a Computers for Education drive, similar to the Toys For Tots program, in which computers would be donated to low-income youth. � Work with walk-in counseling centers to help low-income youth overcome traumatic experiences. � Help pay for Internet access for low-income students during the school year. � Provide scholarships for clothing, transportation and athletic equipment for low-income students. � Supply tutoring through computer software or one-on-one help. � Provide technical school scholarships for students not planning to attend college. � Help teens get their GED diploma if they didn't graduate from high school. � Supply scholarships for graduating students to help pay for graduation pictures, caps and gowns.
