It wasn't Benanav's resolution that was passed, but even so, St. Paul has
now joined such liberal hotbeds as Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta and
Philadelphia in passing a resolution.  The article also notes that the
states of Maine and Hawaii have passed resolutions.

Now that we've seen the governor's budget proposal, worries of Republican
backlash at the Capitol no longer washes as an excuse for Minneapolis City
Council.  We're gonna get screwed either way so we might as well let our
conscience dictate our actions rather than our fears.
