The Park Board formed a Citizen's Advisory Committee to help figure out what to do with the Longfellow Gardens area after the Hwy 55 tunnel was built. The group met with Park Board staffers and the design consulting firm many times in public meetings and developed a plan. This plan will be available for review tomorrow, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. March 8, 2003 at Nokomis Community Center, 2401 E. Minnehaha Parkway.

The committee's work in the form of previous documents, as well as information on the site can be found at the Park Board web site. The final plans are available there as well:

I sat through most of the Committee's meetings and would be happy to answer questions about what I saw and heard. I was not a Committee member, however.

Karen Cooper, in Tangletown and who still has concerns about the bike path design
