I would like to know further: What does the County pay a church/shelter, per cot filled per night, for that "service provided". I guess I would also like to ask: Why should a "church" be paid, by government, to put people up in cots in the basement. Simply for example: The Simpson Church may not have a membership that can afford to support ANY gratis good deeds. I would only speculate that they might have the will, and manpower, to do G*DS work, hands-on. While some aligned and richer church might offer needed funds, in the same spirit. By the way, do the homeless help host, monitor, and clean up behind themselves, at the shelter? Or are rich suburban folks, and employees, needed to fold, and unfold, the cots? I would sincerely like to know what goes on behind church doors; and who pays what if it is public funding? Keith Reitman NearNorth TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Send all posts in plain-text format. 2.
