Scott I believe you should disclose that the Lyndale neighborhood would benefit from the 35 Access project going through since 35th and 36th Street would no longer have a ramp from the freeway. I think STRIDE has done a pretty good job considering their group encompasses a range of opinions on the project. Certainly I can remember many mainstream groups including the Affordable Housing folks becoming a little shrill. Sometimes that's what you have to do to be heard above the clamor of business as usual at City Hall and the County. Most experience with STRIDE has been good and I think they've done a good job of identifying who is for and against the project so folks know who to lobby.

Subject: [Mpls] Green party endorses Character Assassination

Apparently civility and respect did not make the list of Green values if
they are endorsing STRIDE.  The tactics employed by STRIDE thus far are
embarrassing to witness, I'm all for an honest discussion of the impacts of
this project but time and again the folks at STRIDE choose to focus on
personalities and demonizing supporters of this project.  Everyone is
entitled to their beliefs but I am disappointed to see the Green Party
endorse a group that employs these abusive methods.

In cooperation,
