But I have two thoughts on this opinion:
1) They don't realize how lame their site is and no one cares. But they think they're so smart and clever and if those in power knew who they were, they would smite them into the next state (an awful fate...!).
or
2) Like all good satire, there are those that are not amused by it. RC has wisely chosen to post warnings on their site to discourage the politically infirm... But the closer to the truth, the more people are aroused and could seek to reduce the source of this irritation. Not that any such action would really do any good, beyond the confirmation that the satire is hitting home.
To me, the difference between a political activist and a satirist, is the activist sees little or nothing funny about the things that go on. They are spurred to action to try and make some changes. They often have high blood pressure.
The satirist also see the things that they think are wrong, but they take the cowardly path and change the situation by distorting it, much like a caricature, and it's funny like the caricature. Unless it's a picture of you...
They are often vegetarians.
