So now we are supposed to spend our tax money to move our library so it's convenient for a couple of private, religious colleges that compete with our public colleges & university.

Maybe I'm imagining it, but didn't there used to be, prior to George Bush stealing the election, something called "separation of Church and state"?

Now that the central library project is on hold, I
propose we move the library project to a new site in
our rapidly growing "Education District."  The
benefits of siting the central library in the
Education District are obvious, ranging from
facilitating lifelong learning, to creating
opportunities for shared parking, to creating a real
"place" where people can come to learn
