It sounds as though the I35-W "Access Project", often referred to as the "Excess Project" which was to spend nearly $200 million to rearrange some freeway ramps has been cancelled. Instead, the money will be used to develop another eco-friendly, sustainable form of transit such as LRT. The benefits to the community include less noise, smaller transportation "corridors", less pollution, and a low cost trasit solution. Who would have thought that Minneapolis, Hennepin County and MNDoT would take such a progressive position! Unfortunately, they haven't, but maybe I made a point. You know what day it is!
