Can someone on the list offer ideas for what went wrong with the Sherman proposal at Nic/Lake? I've heard all sorts of ideas, ranging from the fact that the Access Project took too much land away (thus requiring unpopular compensation from the Access Project) to more sinister variations.
What really happened to Sherman's proposal, and can it/should it be revived? On my end of Lake St., construction is starting on the Urban Village; we truly owe Lisa McDonald a debt of thanks for promoting that vision. I thought folks near the Nic/Lake area wanted the same type of development, is that the case? Please, help me to understand!
