As in other cases wherein the police are caught misbehaving on video tape, these tapes would simply "disappear." We are working on a case of this right now. The man was beaten BECAUSE he was taping the cops. They stole his camcorder and tape. Later they returned the camcorder but not the tape. Some folks saw the unedited tape and it was pretty bad (for the cops). However, when the tape was finally produced for the lawyer before trial, the incriminating scenes had magically been erased.
