I would sugest that you put your question in an email and send it to the right government official so that you have a record of it. You will still end up without a good answer if it's information you're not wanted to know. Recent inquiries to the appropriate elected officials about the status and expense of the 519 shelter have for instance gone unanswered. > You have every right to request and get such information, > but it isn't necessary to use a public forum unless you are trying > to advance a political agenda. We may have the right to ask but some answers are considered amunition and won't be given easily to someone with an oposing view. I think this Mpls List as a public forum is an exellent place to raise questions some would wish not to answer. What David diplomatically calls "nitpicking", I call invasive. This is not the first time that this has happened here. In my view, after a while, it turns into grandstanding and brinksmanship. You have every right to request and get such information, but it isn't necessary to use a public forum unless you are trying to advance a political agenda. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.) ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
