I think council member Benson has gone above and beyond the call already by abstaining on liquor license votes. It is entirely appropriate for him to vote and advocate on this issue. My impression is there are about 5 nuanced "compromises" out there. I for one am glad to see council member Benson advocating for the most sensible and straightforward policy, 2AM citywide close, let the bars decide. It amazes me to see how we get a win at the legislature on this and it comes to the council and we're back to bickering. Let's take the vote tomorrow and move on.
Scott Persons Lyndale Neighborhood Lives next to police station, bus garage, and busy street but you don't see me complaining to city hall about it. TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait. 2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject (Mpls-specific, of course.) ________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
