[Mpls] New Parkway Signs

I was pleased to see the "Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board" placed on the new Parkway signs. My  impression is that the signs are good looking and tasteful.   It is a great idea to identify all park property that the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is responsible for. It would be a great idea to place this identification on all of the signs at the lakes, on all parkways, in all neighborhood parks, soccer fields, and in even the smallest park triangle.   The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has a tremendous responsibility to develop, protect, and maintain over 6,000 acres of properties in Minneapolis.This is some of the most important property in the City because it is the property to which we all have public access. This property is largely responsible for the good health and daily pleasure of ALL Minneapolis residents. It helps to keep our crime rate low, and our livability high.    The Minneapolis Park System is so extensive, that it is sometimes hard to recognize.    By the consistent labeling of all park signage it would help us to better understand the extensive properties that the elected  Park Commissioners and the hard working staff of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board are responsible for.    Minneapolis has had a top rated City Park System (in the country) since 1928. The Minneapolis Parks belong to all of us. Lets recognize our public parks and be proud.
