Don't leave out "It's Greek to Me". They opened and anchored that corner
when there was still a biker bar next door ( good pool tables and cheap beer
to give credit due). Without that restaurant holding fierce I don't think the
area would have come around so quickly. I think they were there before any of
the other venues.
Refurbishing the Hollywood wouldn't be anything like a Lyn-Lake deal, I
doubt it would become a destination attraction. It would however be a wonderful
neighborhood gathering place. Nordeast is becoming more culturally vibrant
almost daily.
Personally, I wait to see what the Heights theater is showing and if it's
anywhere within the range of my interest, I go. I just like the place. It's
like the Varsity and Campus theaters I grew up with.
