Yet to be answered: Is the MCDA being dismantled? Is it true that Sheehy is the new director of the MCDA? If so, when did that happen?
I have a great deal of cynicism about big name jobs to the tune of $100,000 per when we have so much need in this city. I remember a year or so ago the Strib got access to and printed the notes from a work day of Jackie Cherryholmes. It read like "Lunch with the rich and powerful of Minneapolis." At my job, I am expected to work.
I just do not believe that we need these positions or the CEPD. Seems like smoke and mirrors. Would have been nice if the powers that be in our past Mayor and Council had actually kept a handle on the MCDA's shenanigans.
One slogan I kind of like for my future sign for caucuses for a future Mayor is "Spin Will Not Win."
