Ann Berget asks, "...So, Listmembers, what's on your "Recent Reads" list
(last 6 months)? And how about two or three "All Time Favorites"?

Recent reads (exclusive of work-related):

'Germs' by Judith Miller, et al (what a coincidence Ann)-- very, very highly
recommended if you've an interest in WMD, especially of the biological type.

'Biography of a Germ' by Arno Karlen-- the life story of Borrelia
burgdorferi, the bacterium causing Lyme disease

'At the Grave of the Unknown Fisherman' by John Gierach-- the passion and
pathology of fly-fishing

...and planning to read 'The Future of Life' by Edward O. Wilson before the
leaves fall, probably somewhere along the North Shore.

All Time Favorites:

'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac

'Ethics for the New Millennium' by the Dalai Lama

'Soft Energy Paths' by Amory Lovins

'Steady-State Economics' by Herman E. Daly

'Suburban Nation, The Rise of Sprawl and the Decline of the American Dream'
by A. Duany, et al

'Lord of the Rings' trilogy by Tolkien

Michael Hohmann
Linden Hills

TEMPORARY REMINDER:
1. Don't feed the troll! Ignore obvious flame-bait.
2. If you don't like what's being discussed here, don't complain - change the subject
(Mpls-specific, of course.)
