The 15 minute Rough Cut of "Illegal to be Homeless" and the 60 minute documentary "Poverty Outlaw" will be screened at May Day bookstore on July 26th starting at 3p.m.
Illegal to be Homeless is a film by Margaret Hastings and features interviews with people who are or have been homeless, Mayor Rybak, Council Person Dean Zimmerman and Commissione Gail Dorfman.
Poverty Outlaw is a film by Pamela Yates and Peter Kinoy documenting the organzing efforts of welfare and homeless rights activists in Philadelphia.
** Pls Note: The completed 30 minute documentary of "Illegal to be Homeless" will have shots of the bridge rods. Me and my camera crew were not alerted to this in time to get shots for the rough cut.
