I have seen that many of you do not know where to look for the sidewalk ooze. Everyone needs to know that I did have a meeting with Kim Havey to discuss Heritage and other Empowerment Zone Issues. During this meeting I pointed out areas of great concern to Kim on a map in the MCDA office. I explained that something had to be done to clean the site entirely from pollutants. What he did not know is that at the precise time he was meeting with me, Ron Edwards had his crews from his Black Focus show, video taping the site. After my meeting with Kim, city crews were called in to clean the playground and powerwash the sidewalk and driveway. They returned after the tour of environmental experts and activists a few days later to once again clean the playground, sidewalk and driveway for the second time. Last night I watched Ron Edward's show and seen the documented video evidence for the first time. It was just as I had witnessed the day before my meeting with Kim Havey. It shows the ooze coming up from the sidewalk and running down the driveway. But even now you can see evidence of the ooze on the sidewalk. You see, even powerwashing was not able to get the ooze out of the concrete and pavement. It is clear to me that it is someone's duty, on a daily basses, to clean the area. But still the stains will not come out.
The pond does not seem to be an area of concern for the cities project leader. It still sits with its black liquid bubbling, within feet of were children live and play.
If you are looking for the area that is of great concern, it is now called the rain pond area by the city and the property management. I call it an environmental hell!
I suggest that any organizations or individuals that wish to have copies of the video evidence that Mr. Edwards has, to contact me and I will do my best to get a copy to you. Ron has told me that "the tapes are available to the public, as my show is for the public." If you have not seen it, it will shock you. Or maybe it will only be the very proof to support what many of you have known all along, there are some very environmental issues in that area of our city.
More information will be coming in the next few days that will BLOW the minds of Minneapolis residents.
