The Star Tribune quoted the developer today saying "a contractor worked on the playgrounds. This is not true. The city worked on the playgrounds. The city should now forward a bill to the developer/property owner. When the city repaired a sidewalk at my home, I was billed. Maybe if I was developing a multimillion dollar project I would get free work from the city too. At a time that the city is mulling over its budget, maybe we should slow down on the free work crews. I want the developer billed like any other tax payer.
