More than a dozen Minneapolis community
buildings will remain open during the last two
weeks of August thanks to a donation from
the General Mills Foundation.

The foundation's grant, to be announced at a
news conference today, will spare 14
recreation centers scheduled to close as a
cost-cutting measure.
