I may be wrong, but are you saying that some of the postal people have scanners in their trucks to keep track of what's going on? If that is so, you better have them check out the state law. Unless they have an FCC amateur radion license or are licensed law enforcement officers, it's against the law to have a scanner in a motor vehicle.
Frankly, I think that the police being able to communicate with other law enforcement agencies along with the added security of the new system, far outweighs any inconvience to the public. If you are judging police performance by what you hear on a scanner, you are missing an awful lot. I understand that buying a new scanner (and in time, I'm sure the cost will come down ) is a pain, but that's the price of progress. Anne McCandless Jordan TEMPORARY REMINDER: 1.
