David Piehl comments: In the past? I'm not sure how Basim's tactics can be considered "in the past". Have you not heard the reports from the recent Ventura Village meeting where Basim repeated his pattern of illegally taking over neighborhood organizations to serve his development interests? Allegedly he and/or others got raucus, out of line and out of control. The police were called and escorted his assistant Zach Metoyer out of the meeting. There can be different interpretations of the terms "abrasive" and "recent"; I consider the aforementioned tactics to be both recent and abrasive, and invite list members who were present at the meeting to comment to the list.
