Friday's WASHINGTON POST: "The head of engineering and technology for the
Federal Communications Commission said yesterday that he is briefing
commissioners on several ways to solve the interference issues between wireless
public safety systems and private cellular phone companies without a massive
overhaul of the system." Here is the link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A29362-2003Aug21.html

When I call from my
cel phone, I get MN State Patrol 911, no matter where I am.
All I do is say "can
I get Minneapolis 911 please?" and that has worked fine several times.
Even helped to catch
a criminal in the act of robbing a paybox downtown one
evening.
