No, Jim, the basis for terminating the vehicle checks was that they were not 'catching' any worthwhile number of polluting vehicles. Great amounts of money were being spent, thousands of cars checked, and a very small number were found to be out of compliance. Just not worth the money we were spending. If it is credible that Minneapolis air quality is bad, explain why automobile exhausts are not tested yearly anymore. The BASIS of terminating that was that we don't HAVE an air quality problem anymore. . . . Jim Mork Cooper Neighborhood
Especially since the junkers on the road (vehicles over 10 years old) were exempted from this check in the first place. That seems absolutely ridiculous to me.
Also, many of the worst vehicles are being driven unlicensed or with expired licenses. They would never show up at a testing station at all.
Put a nice, decorative copper molding around the edges of your steps. It will greatly improve the look of them. Then connect that molding in back to an electric fencer!and even urinate on my steps. (I'm beginning to think this last one is personal because it's so gross and unbelievable, but anyway...) . . . Connie Nompelis Ventura Village
They are available at Mills Fleet Farm, the Home Depot in the Quarry, etc. for a reasonable price.
