I was ok with Jim Graham's article describing 'poverty concentration' in Minneapolis untilAnd Carnegie was a robber baron, but he built the public library system. Maybe Humphrey is neither hero nor scalawag. We do owe it to ourselves to give credit where credit is due. After all, he could not have done anything without the cooperation of the DFL and before them the Farmer Laborites and the Democrats.
he mentioned Hubert Humphrey as some sort of hero. Humphrey's no hero of mine.
As vice president he sat on his hands while we bombed Vietnam to smithereens.
In my book it erases any good he may have ever done. Ask the victims of Vietnam.
