And Carnegie was a robber baron, but he built the public library system. Maybe Humphrey is neither hero nor scalawag. We do owe it to ourselves to give credit where credit is due. After all, he could not have done anything without the cooperation of the DFL and before them the Farmer Laborites and the Democrats.
