I'm listening to
"whirlwind in the thorn tree" as I write this.
I tried to sneak into I believe it was the Flame back in the sixties to
see Johnny. Didn't work, I don't think I shaved very often at the time.
I was lucky enough to see him at the State when he toured behind American
Recordings. He was imposing live, this large dark prophet with a wicked sense
of humor. Incredible show.
Now there was a man.
