The POOR, on the other hand, think voting is someone else's job. They vote less than anyone else on the planet. So when you TRY to save their programs, you never plan that they will be there helping. A LIBERAL is someone who finds that "understandable" and excuses it.

WM: This is so much egregious, sweeping claptrap. Are you saying you're not a liberal? Many are the liberals who understand why the desperately poor do not vote, but understanding does not imply excusing, it's understanding the fact of people not voting. The worst kind of not voting behavior I have observed is from the middle class who call themselves radical and/or anarchist who do not vote because no politician is pure enough for them. That they are simultaneously maintaining the status quo is, of course, not mentioned.

I often wonder if they'd feel the same way on a battlefield when some poor person has the job of providing covering fire. If that person wanted a cigarette at that moment and just didn't do his job, would a LIBERAL "understand"? I wouldnt.

WM: This is worse yet. The poorest, most beset group of people in this country are American Indians. They have been subjected to gross eradication, slaughter of their principal food source, the bison, deliberately infected with mortal disease, herded onto reservations then had them stolen as well. They are the smallest group of people making up our population. Yet, when it comes to battles and wars, they have the highest number of ribbons, medals, citations, etc. of any group. So all the time spent wondering about such things could be put down to time spent maintaining one's stereotypes.

But watch the brickbats fly my way from certain totally dependable here because I have butchered their sacred cows.

WM: Before congratulating yourself for 'butchering sacred cows' consider the fact that you have failed to do so.
