Not only are you wrong about Philander's background but you are dangerously close to defaming his character. Philander has no convictions of any kind and until May of this year had not even been charged with any crimes. He has never been a member of a gang. He only ever lived in Chicago for two years and he was a young child at the time. The incidents you list relate to a relative who happens to have his same name.
Philander currently awaits trial for his charges. Granted, these charges are serious but he has not been proven by the state to be guilty of any of them. Even if he were to be proven guilty, there is no crime on the books in this state for which the penalty would be jailhouse rape.

No one should suffer the type of assaults he's accusing the jailers of while in custody.
However, what amazes me is that this individual was STILL walking around free when last arrested. If I'm not mistaken, he was able to extricate himself from charges in '98 that could have led to life in prison (for selling a large amount of cocaine to an undercover cop), by becoming a witness for the prosecution against fellow gang members (in a murder case) in Chicago.
In light of this, to hear that his last arrest included being a felon in possession of a firearm doesn't sit well with me when trying to determine which version (of this recent accusation made by Philander) is the most credible. It doesn't appear he's learned anything from his past mistakes.
Does anyone have a full criminal background on the accuser?
