And other people are writing as if the inmate was already convicted of
crimes he hasn't yet been tried on in addition to crimes committed by an
older relative.  

The connection between this case and the ones involving the Minneapolis
police is the system of nonaccountability that embraces both police and
jail guards.  There wouldn't be any investigation if people in the
community hadn't been calling the jail for the past week and a half
expressing concern and asking that the young man have an independent
medical examination.

(and if you find yourself needing a break from Minnesota Nice, trying
calling the jail and expressing concern for an inmate.)
